How does UConnPraxis get funded?

We are funded through a $5 per-student, per-semester waive-able fee that students can see on their fee bill.  Every three years we have a self-imposed reaffirmation drive, where all UConn Storrs students can vote on whether or not they want our fee on the fee bill.  Even if students vote a majority yes on the reaffirmation, students can still wave the fee. In addition, UConnPraxis is the only Tier III organization on campus that allows you to waive its fee.

What do we use student fees on?

Every year, we use fee money to provide resources to follow not only our mission statement but the mission statement of the University of Connecticut.

We provide:

• Project packets.
• Activist toolkits.
• Campus-wide events like panels and film screenings.
• Campaign resources like trained fellows, promotional items, and informational handouts.
